Last week Lottie's first baby tooth fell out. She was so excited about having a wobbly tooth. She talked all the time about the Tooth Fairy visiting! Then during lunch the tooth fell out! It wasn't the reaction we were all expecting, we were all excited, Tom talking about the Tooth Fairy bringing her some money etc. But Lottie sat there crying! She didn't want her tooth out, she didn't like the gap that was left and also didn't want the tooth fairy going into her room at night! What a drama!
After calming her down, she decided that she DID want the Tooth Fairy to visit but not her room. She ran and got an envelope, put her tooth in it and then wrote a note on the front saying "please leave my tooth and maybe a coin under the TV." So that's what we did. And the Tooth Fairy came.
Anyway since last week, she has been busy wobbling her second tooth. All weekend she kept asking if it would fall out! Then tonight as soon as Daddy arrived home she asked him to pull it out! He did! I couldn't watch, but apparently it just came out when he wobbled it. Anyway, no tears tonight. She found a special tooth fairy envelope I had from school and then spent bath time trying to decide whether she should leave it in her room or under the TV again. She decided on the TV (she is still worried about a fairy fluttering around her room while she sleeps).
Well we have gone to town tonight on the tooth fairy moment, trying to help her enjoy the tooth fairy moment.
What a lucky tooth fairy to get such a sweet envelope and a note from Lottie! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you! We had one very excited daughter after the tooth fairy visited! Only trouble is now she keeps trying to wobble all her other teeth with the hope they will fall out soon!
