Sunshine and Family!

This weekend we have been blessed again with gorgeous sunshine.  We survived the bank holiday traffic on Friday night and have had a lovely weekend "Up North" with our parents.

On Saturday we headed off to Newby Hall near Ripon.  There wasn't a cloud in the sky.  We had a lovely picnic, a game of cricket and then wandered around the grounds.

There is a huge play area which the children enjoyed (and the Grandads!)

The boating lake was fun for the children and definitely gave my arms a good work out!

Mum, couldn't resist a go on the zip wire! I think she was just proving to us that turning 60 last month doesn't mean anything!

We walked through the gardens and the children enjoyed going on the train.

Just before we left for home the children had fun playing in the water squirters, but I had forgotten their swim wear but that didn't stop them.  They had a bit of a soggy walk back to the car before being able to change into a spare set of clothing.

Hopefully we wont have to wait until the next Bank Holiday to see the sun shine again, but it has been wonderful this weekend, it's finally felt like summer.
