Its Gloomy and Wet Outside!

Its cold, wet and gloomy in Somerset today! The sun hasn't shone for what seems like months.  (I love the sun, it automatically makes me smile, where as dark gloomy days like today have the opposite effect.)

Today is the first day of the half term holiday and due to the weather we've spent most of the day inside.  We did the supermarket shop this morning and came out of the store to the biggest snow flakes we have ever seen.  There was lots of excitement from the children and during the journey home there was lots of talk of snowball fights and sledging!  However, by the time we pulled up on the drive it had turned to rain! Excitement over!

So we have spent the rest of the day, playing games, colouring, sorting through Moshi Monsters and snuggled up on the sofa watching a film.

A lovely snugly afternoon wrapped up inside, brightened every now and again with the lovely scent from these gorgeous Hyacinths that Mum and Dad bought us last week and the big bunch of bright yellow Daffodils on the dining room table making us smile and reminding us its bright and smiley inside despite being gloomy and grey outside.

Hurry up Spring!
