So, seeing as I'm married to a Yorkshireman, we couldn't have Sunday dinner without good old Yorksire puddings today.
Traditionally, Yorkshire puddings were made in a large tin, rather than the little individual puddings that we are all familiar with today. It was often served before the main meal, which helped to fill hungry mouths meaning less meat was needed during the main meal. I remember visiting my Grandma and Grandad's house as a little girl and having a giant Yorkshire pudding as a starter. Sometimes we even had it with golden syrup as a desert!
Here at Number 2 we all love Yorkshire puddings and luckily hubby makes the best!
Happy Yorksire Pudding Day Everybody!
