Well the temperature gauge hit 29 today. The uk was hotter than the Med and along with what seemed like everyone else in the South of England we headed to the beach.
Our nearest sandy beach is Sandbanks. We were there just after 9am this morning and luckily got the last space in the car park.
We have had a long but lovely day sat on the beach sunning ourselves! It's been very relaxing and very hot!
The children have played together on the sand and in the sea.
It was so hot hubby and I even had a swim! (No photos of that!)
We had a sandy picnic and then bought an ice cream from the ice cream boat! It even played music as it sailed up and down the shore line!

Heatwave! Yayyyyyy! Idyllic x
ReplyDeleteI love the sun, it makes everything seem ok! Only trouble is its not great to work in! Hope the weather in Scotland is hot and sunny too!
DeleteOh, you're so lucky living so near the beach! And such a nice beach too. I love that ice cream boat, that's a brilliant idea. It's been glorious up here in the north too, am I soaking up every second of it. x
ReplyDeleteThe ice cream boat was fantastic, the children loved it! They were so excited when they heard the ice cream van style music! Lottie was looking up and down the beach and then nearly popped with excitement when she realised it was a boat! Enjoy the sunshine Gillian, isn't it lovely. X
DeleteThe ice cream boat, what a great idea! You live near a gorgeous beach, we are near the sea too but it's all pebbly down here with just a bit of grey sand when the tide is out. I hope that you have plenty more sunshine to enjoy!
